The club has been running since 2003 with the help of Coach Herb Bennett
and Club Director Adel ALi. Coach Bennett provides the team with much-
needed knowledge through his many years of experience. Dr. Adel Ali
established a scholarship program that enabled the team to reach new heights,
including their near-win at the college national championship.
In 2008-2009, the team hopes to accomplish what former Golden Eagles have
before them. Since it was founded in 2003, the team has proven its worth in
a variety of ways. They have won the Dixie Conference title 4 times (2003-2007). Last
year, the team finished in a disappointing second place to Mississippi College,
a newly formed team on the rise. This year’s team aspires to measure
up to former members such as Tiger Ramakrishnan, Kim Bong Geun, Arjun
Chandramouli, Makoto Kinomo, Marc Brana, Tyler Brady, and Philip Sawin.
